This course is designed to familiarize educators with the issues and skills students need in order to be successful global citizens.  The course will integrate current global issues, as well as the framework for 21st Century learning in order to provide teachers with the tools and resources essential to promoting globally aware students capable of competing in a global society.

By focusing on the fundamental skills descriptive of a global citizen, the course aims to enhance the understanding and importance of global topics via a 21^st Century Skills approach.  Additionally, the course will prepare educators for the incorporation of international issues and the skills that define a globally aware citizen into their classrooms and preexisting lesson plans.

Upon completion of the course, educators will have obtained several resources that will complement their current teaching, while at the same time introduce them to the fundamental skills necessary for the future growth, collaboration, and success of the next generation global learner.
